Back in October, during Josh’s parents’ 50th a Back in October, during Josh’s parents’ 50th anniversary and his dad’s 70th birthday, we miraculously snagged a family photo with everyone’s eyes open. A true miracle, really. But when I scrolled past this picture last week, I felt a strange mix of gratitude… and clarity. I kept wondering: Why didn’t I post this? Why did this moment slip by without a second thought? And the answer washed over me: My life has been full. And fast. Since well before October. College drop-offs. State athletics. Ministry rhythms. Milestone celebrations. It all came like a whirlwind, and I didn’t slow down long enough to notice that I never truly caught my breath. So here I am in December, stepping into Advent feeling weary, and this picture suddenly explains why. Maybe you’re looking back at your fall and realizing the same thing.
