Back in October, during Josh’s parents’ 50th a Back in October, during Josh’s parents’ 50th anniversary and his dad’s 70th birthday, we miraculously snagged a family photo with everyone’s eyes open. A true miracle, really.

But when I scrolled past this picture last week, I felt a strange mix of gratitude… and clarity.

I kept wondering:
Why didn’t I post this? Why did this moment slip by without a second thought?

And the answer washed over me:
My life has been full. And fast. Since well before October.

College drop-offs. State athletics. Ministry rhythms. Milestone celebrations.
It all came like a whirlwind, and I didn’t slow down long enough to notice that I never truly caught my breath.

Episode 2 of my Advent series, When God Draws Near, is for us. [link in bio]

There’s silence.
There’s science.
There’s a lawnmower ride.
And there’s a liturgy to end it all.
If you’ve ever felt like the joy is gone… this one’s for you.
